DESCRIPTION:  Vintage 1952 tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Zenith in excellent working and physical condition.

CABINET CONDITION: No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Original factory molded Bakelite and factory painted green. Not repainted. No over spray no touch up. None needed. All original factory metal film trim pieces by the knobs are in excellent condition no rub off or peeling.

SOUND QUALITY: This radio picks up AM stations very clearly and very loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light, but one can be added for an extra charge.

KNOBS: The clock function knobs of this vintage tube radio are original, matching and securely attached. Volume and tuning knobs are original, matching excellent condition.

CLOCK: The clock works quietly and keeps accurate time. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. Buzzer alarm works. Wake to radio or radio with buzzer. Sleep timer works. Front clock face green painted back panel is clean no dents or dings, not warped, no water stains no rust.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: The capacitors been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt or replaced to ensure static free performance. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications.

POWER CORD: Original brown power cord and plug is in excellent condition, no exposed wiring.

BACKING BOARD: Excellent condition.

FACTORY LABELS: Bottom factory label is intact, some water stains.

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
